✅ How to Set Up Your Own Domain or Subdomain
1. 🔧 Create a Subdomain or Domain
Create a new domain or subdomain with your hosting provider:
- Domain (e.g.
mysite.ch) - Subdomain (e.g.
scan.mysite.ch)
2. 🌐 Set Up DNS Records
Connect your domain or subdomain to scanmy.ch using DNS settings.
✅ Important:
You do not need to register a new domain or subdomain.
Simply add the following entries to the DNS settings of your existing domain.
DNS propagation may take from a few minutes up to 24 hours, depending on your provider.
Add the following DNS records to your existing domain:
* .yourcompany.ch IN A 80.74.138.2
.yourcompany.ch IN A 80.74.138.2
Note: yourcompany.ch is an example. Replace it with your actual domain (e.g. mysite.ch).
⚠️ No new domain is needed – just update the DNS of your existing domain.
🔧 Notes:
- The entries must be added in your domain provider’s DNS panel.
- No additional domain or subdomain is required.
- DNS changes may take up to 48 hours to become globally active.
3. 🔗 Connect the Domain in Your Dashboard
Log into your dashboard and navigate to:
Custom Domains > Connect Custom Domain
Fill in the following fields:
- Domain or subdomain (recommended):
scan.mysite.ch - Custom index URL (homepage):
https://mysite.ch - Custom 404 error page (optional):
https://mysite.ch/404.html- or
https://scanmy.ch/my-folder/404-error.html
4. 🔍 Verify DNS Records
Before activating your domain, we will verify that your DNS entries are correct.
You can check this yourself using:

💡 Additional Notes:
- Custom domain/subdomain connection is available only with the QRC POWER Plan.
- If no custom domain is set up, the default link
scanmy.ch will be used. - Domain integration includes an automatic SSL certificate, so your URLs are served over HTTPS.
